what a crazy week it has been with table tennis training on monday, wednesday and thursday ending at almost 8 for every practice. i didnt really feel as if this week had 5 school days but rather one long stretch of 120 hours with occasional rest stops.

the team needs 8 more players, of which only 3 would be actually playing in the competition and the rest being reserves. but there are 11 people competing, meaning i have to beat 3 players to squeeze in. i really want to be in the team not just for the skipping of lessons but also because there is this misconception that players in the team do alot for the school and should be honoured while players not in the team are just playing for leisure. more specifically, im speaking of reserves as i believe that players who didnt make it to the team train as hard as those who made it but do not play in the competition.

im glad that mr wee understands my position but i feel that i need more than understanding and that is getting into the team. to do so, i need to win 2 more matches out of 5. argh, this is frustrating. (i can, i can i believe i can)

on another note, i think my stamina has improved during the practice cross country run today. or perhaps, it could have been what i was chanting in my head. maybe both =D

blogging has lost its meaning of being a journal. when writing in your journal, you are supposed to be personal and frank right? however, most blogs are nice and serve more as a channel to advertise the bloggers themselves through their activities rather than being a reflection journal. therefore people get offended by candid posts as they are not common and not politically correct.

the purpose of this post might seem to be expressing what i feel of reserves and non school team players and that is a trueful personal account. but i am also informing everyone how much time and effort i spend on my trainings and that is a way of advertising myself.

by advertising, i mean positively gaining attention for your own made up character.
for example, someone might complain in his/her blog that his/her phone bills was very high and was thus scolded by his/her parents. my guess however, is that the intention of that post is not for readers to pity the blogger who was scolded but to advertise the fact that he/she is popular and to form the impression that he/she is a cool, always smsing teenager.

im tired now and i shall just end here.
