its all in the body

it is possible to climb a mountain in singapore, even if the highest lump of soil here is only considered a hill.

if everyone wore high heels and climbed up bukit timah repeatedly, then the experience would be similar to climbing up a mountain. by experience, i mean how tired and how challenging the climb is. its hard to achieve the temperature drop and lack of oxygen in the air but i suppose one could fan him/herself more and more vigourously after more trips up the hill. and for the oxygen part, one can restrict himself to only breathing through his mouth or something. haha

ok, the above suggestions are really a bit far fetched but my point is that it is technically possible to experience anything, anywhere. that is if the definition of 'experience' is for your body to use up a certain amount of energy in a certain period of time, to feel cold, hot, to smell something and so on.

since 'experiencing' something is based on the 5 senses, then age, health and familiarity would be important factors to take note.

if i ate 3 pieces of pizza when im 5 years old, then i would be very full, but if i ate it when im 20 years old, then i'll probably still feel hungry.

if i eat pizza when i have a cold, then it wouldnt taste good. but it would be delicious if im healthy and can taste it.

if i can only eat pizza once a year, then it would be extremely tasty and valuable to me. if i can eat pizza everyday, then it wouldnt taste as good and taste boring.

when i decided to write this post i thought of an example- when watching tv, i saw a female guest star speaking and suddenly i felt really sad because i realised i spoke like her, very jerkily and the main point doesnt come across straight away.

but now i dont see the link with my point above.
